Climacturia is a distressing problem that happens in men after surgery for radical removal of the prostate to treat cancer. The condition is best described as a leaking of urine when a man ejaculates during sex.

The prostate is surrounded by nerves and tissues which are necessary for the proper function of sex and control of urination. During prostatectomy surgery, nerves are sometimes damaged, which may result in loss of bladder control.
