What is a low sperm count?

Sperm is the fluid ejaculated during sex. A low sperm count means that the odds of fertilising a female’s egg in order for pregnancy to occur, is greatly reduced.

Risk factors for a possible low sperm count include low testosterone, a swelling or lump in the groin or testicle area, or perhaps difficulty getting and maintaining an erection.

These symptoms should be investigated by a medical doctor.
