There has always been a widespread belief that men have a higher sex drive than women. There is also the idea that men get turned on for the slightest reason, and are ready to have sex anywhere, anytime. This is not strictly true, but some research has backed up the idea and suggests that the ready-for-sex part might be partly true, due to higher testosterone levels making men think about sex more than women do.
